She is politicized, takes a stand against big oppressive business, questions government policy when needed, has no political ambition. She is pro-woman, pro-choice. She takes a stand against poverty and hunger. She has taken a stand against the fakery of television, has refused to be pressured into losing weight, has taken pride in big hair, calls on her audience to be themselves and does not sell them the impossible and expensive, no whitening, no beauty clinics. Kris Aquino sells everything despicable about the beauty industry. She also watches as farmers are abused and killed, as they fight for their right to plots of Hacienda Luisita land, and dismisses their growing anger as a part of her life. For Kris to even think she is to this country what Oprah is to America is delusional. Its also a lie.
