We are now also looking for strong Bachelors/Masters/PhD students as interns for our Summer Internship program. The tenure of the summer internship program is about 10 weeks, and the start date is flexible (typically sometime in the month of either May or June, 2013). In addition to a monthly stipend, Bell Labs will provide round-trip airfare to Bangalore as well. While at Bell Labs, interns will have the opportunity to contribute to original research, participate in advanced prototyping. We are looking for interns who would be interested in working on any of the following areas: Wireless networks (Virtual RAN/CloudRAN, Cellular P2P) Cloud-assisted large-scale networked and distributed systems Large scale data mining on network/telecom traces and online social networks Privacy and security Smart interactive mobile applications to learn and process multi-modal input (e.g. video via phone camera, speech, location, text etc.). Applicants should possess a high level of skills in at least one of the following: theoretical analysis, programming and systems building. Our internship program is now 7 years old, and in the past we have had an exceptional pool of candidates who have directly contributed to publications in top-tier conferences and crucial product features.
