@jmarec are recruiting: * Technician (Electrical Assembly & Test) * * Brackley * * Salary: In the region of £18,000 per annum * #jmajobs #jma #electrical #assembly Our client, a supplier of UPS systems is seeking a Technician to perform electrical assembly and testing of products according to engineering drawings and instructions. Duties & responsibilities include: Production of cable kits, electrical connection boxes, battery cabinets and product modifications. Quality control. Create BOMs (Bills of Materials) and manage/maintain stock levels. Inspect and test returned products and repair where necessary. Liaise with accounts admin to ensure all incoming and outgoing deliveries are recorded. Carry out all administrative work and housekeeping tasks relating to your activities. Assisting customers and other members of the team with technical queries by phone and email. Recommending alternative assembly techniques specific to products where improvements are possible. Assisting in testing and evaluation of R&D products & producing reports. Visiting customer sites where appropriate and undertaking site evaluations and product installation and servicing. Assisting in the design and development of new products as required. Show flexibility and be available to assist other departments for agreed periods, to accelerate the development of other technologies or company goals. Key Skills Electrical Assembly skills including: Crimping – including selection of correct crimp and tool. Soldering – including wire to terminal soldering and PCB soldering. To create and improve work instructions and wiring diagrams. To be aware of electrical hazards and minimise risk. Ability to work and act on own initiative. To keep standards of Health & Safety high in the workshop area. Attention to detail, precision and quality. Further Info The ideal candidate will have a sound electrical knowledge with a pro-active attitude. Candidates must have good communication skills (written/spoken) and ability to follow instructions. The ability to be flexible and work as part of a small team to organise oneself is essential. Full Driving Licence is desired. The position is central to the operations within the organisation and requires an individual who has the potential to grow the role with the company.
