“...let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” -(Genesis 1: 26) That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. In our Focal Scripture, God instructed man to have dominion over the fish of the sea, birds of the air, cattle, and over all the earth. Man exists on the ground level; the birds of the air live on a higher plane, above mans location. The fish of the sea operate on a level below the ground level; fishes operate at a lower realm than man. So God gave man the authority to rule over the different realms of life. God gave man the authority to rule over the higher and lower realms; man’s location did not limit man’s dominion; man’s location was not the boundary of man’s influence over the earth. God gave man the authority to rule over all the realms in the entire universe. Friend, God says, you have dominion over the entire universe. You have dominion over the higher and lower realms. You have dominion over those ahead of you and those below you; you have dominion over those within your reach and those beyond your reach; you have dominion over those within and outside your location. You may not be at the top but you will control what happens at the top. You may not be in the corridors of power, but God has given you authority to control Kings and nobles. There may be people ahead of you, but you have what it takes to pull the strings and make them dance to your tune and do your wishes. You may be in an unfavourable location, but it won’t limit your influence. Your dominion is boundless. Live in the consciousness of the dominion that God has given you.
