#love #sensitivity & there we have! As expresed by Dr Elaine Aron, in her book Highly Sensitive People in Love: - marry & achieve their career goals later on the average than other men, in part reflecting their lack of tutoring in how to go forth into the world successfully. This aint just a popular science book! Shes a Dr, got her own practice, conducts empirical (albeit qualitative, it seems) research. I was very untutored, slipped under the radar when I got my academic scholarship to Public school, and parents were very busy with work, throughout my life. I do remember my times with my Mums younger sister & brother. I learnt a lot, but my way of computing these lessons, meant a lot wouldnt have registered long term. Tomorrow evening, Im gonna meet an old family friend: - someone whos seen me grow up since I was wearing shorts in prep-school, - done business with Dad, - Mum dislikes: but whom didnt she dislike! Hell have an interesting perspective about my family, plus hell probably find it insightful now that i have learnt to reflect, research and understand my genetics & nurturing environment. People keep asking when am I gonna get married & have kids!?! - hello!!!!!! Girlfriend first! One step at a time 😉 - besides, if I decide to dedicate my life to monastic austerity, fricking accept it! If......though?!? Ive made the enquiries, toyed with the idea! A lesson ive learnt, from my personal experience, is that people need to go through their stuff at their own time and pace. - if they were meant to do it differently, they would have: its actually very simple logic, but our expectations of others, usually means we over complicate this understanding. Love thyself: as they say. Cant love another until we find that self-love. We might not have grown up receiving the love all human beings deserve, but theres no reason why we cant give the love we want to receive?!? _/❤\_
