#martymonday continues to educate. Todays lesson: How to properly share a must-see-you-wont-believe-it-video. If you are so compelled to encourage someone else to waste their time, please do so by providing as much information as possible. So, for instance… This video, making the rounds today on Facebook, would be best shared (or not shared!) with the following description: **** This girl is brushing her teeth and her medium-to-large-sized black and white cat jumps on her head and stays there while she brushes her teeth. It is not life-altering, you would believe it (even if you didnt see it) and truth be told, its not really worth the 2 minutes of your time to watch it. However, if you are so inclined to view this video, know that it is almost 2 minutes long and there isnt anything more than a cat, balancing itself on top of this womans head. Furthermore, the title suggests that maybe theres a conflict that needs resolving, as if her friends dont believe this incredible tale (ha) of a cat laying on her head. Perhaps there is some deep-rooted jealousy or resentment towards this woman? Or maybe shes a compulsive liar, and this is the one thing she always tells the truth about, so in order to redeem herself and one-up her trustworthiness she set up this camera to prove them wrong. But really, are people making up stories like this? Gosh you wont believe this, but a freakin cat jumped on my head while I brushed my teeth. Actually, cats are weird, so its completely believable that they did this. You could even spin the yarn a bit farther and say the cat actually tried to help brushing your teeth, because the back-n-forth movement was similar to that of a toy that the cat likes. All of that is very believable. You know what isnt believable? My cat made pancakes today! No one would believe that. If your cat makes pancakes, you better videotape the shit out of that, cuz you could make some money, no doubt. In fact, you could name the cat Tipper - Tipper the pancake flipper - and think of the merchandising! Or, better yet, a cat that drove a semi truck. Just like Toonces the Driving cat, but in a freakin SEMI!!!! No one would believe that. A cat that jumps on your head, however, is completely believable. Anywhoo.
