#orange_forum OUR JOURNEY BEGINS; Recap... It has been a tumultuous vacation and all of us can witness on that part. And yet so much has been achieved, quite a lot has not. But the hearts of men should stay strong. When we were starting this campaign. The campaign to create a popular inclusive students platform and forum to listen and lessen the continuous disregard of students involvement in sculpturing decisions that affect them, governance of institutions that serve them, and which had in the most recent past adversely led to the hampered development of institutions and equitable and diligent smooth relay of services to the students fraternity marred with implementation of draconian laws and ammendments... we remained oblique about the future of the forum. Challenges manifested in our way, some of those that wanted a better movement in a different picture and others that probably saw the idea as a gross hindrance to their personal state of ambitions and so much more. We never looked the other way, we kept true to our goal and cause and calculated all efforts to bring every one on board. It is this due zealous work that saw the birth of this great community. We went ahead to seek advice from the greatest enemy and also sought moral support from our constructive allies including forums that also supported our ideology and methodology of bringing change and redress. There was alot of propaganda calculated to injure this aspiration and the team with insurmountable pleasure combatted it and we are pleased with our legal Achilles that did a detailed draft of statements that efficiently and explicitly defined our cause. These were to on one part form the guiding principles and method of our works which will from time to time be our code. Certainly, the new academic year starts so soon and we cannot relax, alot is going to come our way. We may delay to directly engage as we study prospects and phenomena reliable for our management. But as we usher the new entrants to the first academic year at public higher institutions of learning, we are glad to inform that we are strong and moving. Sooner, we shall be at your door. Just to Let school be the home you dream it to be. We shall humbly keep our regard to national values and maintain the frame of our code, we shall recruit heavily, we shall teach, unite ,convene, meet and discuss. We shall communicate forthwith on each and every matter. Our only hope still remains you are all ready to join us as we tear apart the dreams of the poor and inefficient administrations since these enormously affect each and everyone of you. We shall approach them, sicken them, preach to them and preach against them and taking each mans individual convictions into account, we shall pursue our cause for the benefits of all. These are times when we all need to sacrifice our personal interests and trim our perception of ideologies just to be on the same ground with others for the sake of unity for a better cause. Like Sir Winston Churchill remarked, indeed we say to you that in such times, our personal political and economic affiliation doesnt matter, we ought to sit down, get to the drawing table and unite our dreams and aspirations for the good of us all. We welcome you once again to another academic year. And promise you diligent service. We love you and you should all take care.
