**permanent loan** Romeo is a beautiful thoroughbred cross - TopicsExpress

**permanent loan** Romeo is a beautiful thoroughbred cross gelding, he was rescued as an emaciated colt by Hope Pastures rescue center in the summer of 2013. I instantly fell in love and re-homed him myself as shortly after his arrival. After much thought I have come to the heartbreaking decision to find him a new home with somebody who has the time he deserves and experience to put in to backing a youngster and bringing out his full potential. He will be 3 years old in the spring and currently stands at around 15.2/15.3hh, he should reach between 16-16.2hh when fully matured. Romeo has worn full tack, been lunged (in walk only) and lightly long reined, he picks up all his feet but dependant on his mood can sometimes be a bit of a bugger with his back ones. He has the most beautiful temperament, greets me with a whinny and canters over to see me in the field, he loves scratches and cuddles and any form of attention (especially when it may involve food) I have taken him for long walks in the company of sensible horses and he has seen traffic and behaved really well even though he finds new situations a bit exciting/scary. I have found positive reinforcement training really beneficial with working on his excitement and manners, this however does need more work due to his age and nature. For these reasons he needs an experienced home with somebody patient, confident and understanding. I feel he has a lot of potential in the right home and will make somebody a fantastic horse, I wish I had more time, confidence and experience so I could keep him myself and it will break my heart to see him go however he deserves the very best of homes and has so much potential which I would hate to see wasted. He is available for permanent loan only to homes within 50 miles of Leeds and all homes will be home checked. Please message me with any questions you may have. All applicants must be over 18 years old, I am in no rush for him to go and he will stay with me until I am 100% hes found the right home :(
