...plaster coming off my back and im starting to have the shoulder pains again :( will have to wait for Mon or is it Tues??? to see the physio...hurry up weekend! lazy Sat morning for me...woke up too late Mum had left for the fair, kids selling watermelon along the roadside of our front yard...$1 & $2 meleni otai (my bros watermelon didnt come out that well - mahalo lahi ange mohe i uta) Dad was great farmer - was his passion, it was only that he was offered a scholarship that he became a Dr, but his heart was farming. None of my brothers are near as good...I recall as kids having a carrots, tomatoes, lettuce, watermelon, ufi, pumpkin....he did it mainly for us to eat and sold the rest to the vaiola hospital for their kitchen/cook, gave some to relavites and sold the rest cheap to the neighbourhood. It wasnt just a small garden, he used my uncles peice of land next door to do this, and the bush for the ufi, & pumpkin, watermelon. Id remember getting sick of having soggy tomato sandwiches for lunch during high school...but it tasted great in summer...sometimes id trade it for the 10c peleti kale the others would buy at lunch from the school canteen, or for a bun soaked in lemani or ice-cream & keke isite hehe memorable days! I just got handed a weird looking icecream, flavour - bright green, pink and white (didnt look mint colour or strawberry or vanilla) ... kinda hesitant but i ate it anyway lol. Sitting here nice breeze blowing and searching for ideas online in preparation to planning Dads 1yr anniversary. Want to make it a day all about Dad (my sis is in charge of the food department...I do well at the tasting part of it :), brother Ikis with my cousin and his kids cleaning the yard, and my bro Paul and his wife have their sons confirmation tomorrow so they have to attend preparation for it. I look outside and this damn MEI tree has left more leaves on the ground again - feel like tying a fish net under all the trees so the leaves can fall on them, and make it easier to pour straight into the bin. One nice thing about being back home is the greenery....trees and fresh 02 :) I definately feel healthier. Thinking of that hop on a boat and go to Eua idea?? I wonder if I can jump on a boat, sleep on a beach after hauaing the rainforest & a kaukau tahi in that beautiful spring water/waterfall/pond?, then on the boat home again without being missed?? Anyone want to join me with my adventure?
