*please, no comments on this thread* just as much as we need a BLACK FRIDAYS boycott we need accountability and to recognize the need of adjusting. just as much as we need to boycott the system, we need to boycott not taking ownership in our communities. we need to build a nation of thinkers who dignify their existence and carry that dignity. we need a community of dignified thinkers that understand this country, and its politics. we need our women and men to own reputable businesses in our communities. we need auto body shops owned by young men who like to work on cars. we need more day cares that teach life skill curriculums petenant to our community needs to our youth. we need opportunities for young ladies to make more money teaching those curriculums to the youth than they can make dancing . we need the youth who attend those daycares to have a foundation of those curriculums and build law practices later in those same communities they grow to love. we need men who take groups of young men with trash bags and clean neighborhoods of debris like: beer cans, empty chip bags, glass bottles, fast food wrappers and etc. we need those men to create llcs of those groups and get city contracts so that young men can make money cleaning their communities. we need to turn vacant lots into gardens and grow fruits and vegetables on all these vacant plots in our communities and have fresh open markets on every corner in our communities instead of liquor stores owned by foreigners that sell: cigarettes, candy, fried chicken, blunts, soda, and Cheetos. we need to give commission-based jobs to the youth selling these fruits and vegetables. we need people to open juice bars and buy their inventory from the local fresh markets. we need men and women who know how to song-write and play instruments to give lessons to the youth and then get contracts in these schools with no music programs. we need men and women in our communities who song-write and play instruments to know that there are allotted budgets in the city funds for such innovative programs. we need life-promoting-quality music on our radio airwaves on stations the community collectively owns so that young men aspiring to do music can have an outlet to create and make money without feeling the need to curve their personality to selling audio death to the community. we need music that makes it cool to be articulate, intelligent, and culturally aware. we need these things as urgent as we need a BLACK FRIDAYS boycott. we need a change of conversation in our communities. we need a better grade of conversation amongst one another that more than about celeb-gossip, local gossip, hate, insults, petty things; and instead have conversations about how banking systems work, what an LLC is, how to get city contracts for ideas, how to write business plans and get grants, and etc. we need our young men to know that these things are the REAL GAME, not just sports but team community and we need them to know that the big boys play on this level and end up owning sports teams instead of playing for them. we need them to know putting a ball in a hoop is a childs game, and monopoly is a mans sport. we need police to know they will be approached by 100+ powerful, intelligent, articulate, connected, and community-rich men and women from that community if they shoot a man in his back for running after not paying a bus fare in that community. we need the cops to feel like such an action call for psychiatric evaluation, jail time, and a lawsuit rather than a pat on the back from the mayor.
