pretty foolish. many of us "materialistic reality minded" Westerners see how ridiculous these trinkets are, yet I am convinced that is only because we have been enlightened by Jesus and those who follow him, to know more about what true religion is in the face of false hope and false religion. BUT how many of us recognize our own folly, that in our "materialistic reality" mindset we ourselves have missed the true essence of true religion ourselves. For example, who would recognize that the hope of some while buying a scratch and sniff lotto ticket to actually win big money is very similar to the hopes of those who are employing these kinds of pagan beads!! In fact, the folks employing these kinds of beads actually demonstrate more of a recognition of reality than these more "sane" modern idolators/pagans. At least those who use beads usually recognize that there is a God who created all things and that they need to implore His favor to gain anything in their lives! But the blind fools of modern society actually believe that if only they became very rich all their problems would be solved and they would be completely happy!!
