On The Square currently has part-time, sales associate openings in the Charlotte Douglas International Airport location. The ideal candidate is motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic about one- on-one interaction with customers and thrives in a retail environment. Responsibilities • Set and achieve personal sales goals while supporting the goals of the team • Greet customers in a timely, professional, and engaging manner • Develop strong customer relationships • Consistently seek new trends and product knowledge to act as an expert for the customer • Explain features and demonstrate operation of exclusive gift • Demonstrate knowledge of store products and services while using this knowledge to build sales • Suggest optional gifts while also up-selling to ensure an unforgettable retail experience • Be present and punctual for all assigned shifts • Ensure the store maintains its excellent visual presentation • Expedite merchandise to the selling floor with key focus on placement and replenishment • Perform daily department maintenance tasks; including stock work, re-merchandising, display, light cleaning and dusting Qualifications • 3 to 5 years retail experience • Familiarity with the use of a POS system and basic math • Driven to meet and exceed performance expectations • Demonstrated ability to accurately complete monetary transactions • Ability to learn and execute new procedures and processes in a technologically advanced environment • High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative • Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about fashion and gift trends • Proven ability to develop relationships with customers and co-workers • Ability to positively and proactively handle customer concerns and prioritize multiple task in a fast pace environment • Maintain a flexible schedule based on business needs, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays • High School Diploma or Equivalent • No Criminal History as pursuant to the TSA guidelines • All applicants must pass a background reference and drug test The benefits of working at On The Square Gift and News include but are not limited to; pay rate of $10-$12/hour, 25-28 scheduled hours per week, possibility for monthly incentives, possibility for a yearly bonus, and discounts at other airport concessionaires.
