#rebuildingthebrokenwallsinourhomes022- HOLINESS IS CHRIST IN ME Sometimes my heart is overwhelmed with heaviness for all the troubled marriages. Marriages that are filled with infidelity, pain, battering, fear, hostility, anxiety, deceit, jealousies, resentments and all other grievances that cause divisions between couples Brethren- to live in holiness is to live in love; it is not protecting ourselves from others, by withdrawing from relationships in an attempt to aspire towards personal perfection. Whatever is of value to God has to be worked out in relationship with others for Jesus wants us to be the light of the world. It is common, and very tempting to make excuses for our breakdown in relationships with others. We claim it is a question of temperament or the blame is with the other person. Sometimes reconciliation seems impossible. Jesus did not die for our excuses – only for our sins. When we acknowledge sin to be sin, to be our fault and responsibility, then we can be cleansed of it when we bring it to Jesus. For true reconciliation the sin on both sides needs to be acknowledged and humbly brought to the cross. Mutual forgiveness of one another then becomes possible, not in a spirit of judgment or criticism, but in love, as both have tasted the grace and mercy of God. Every detail of our hearts and lives is laid bare before God. His light can see all darkness, whether the sin is directly against him or involves others. He desires to see all the darkness chased from our lives so that we can know our unity with Him and with one another in marriage. I ask of you to join me in prayer for the next 3 days; write a prayer below interceding for every marriage you know whether it is troubled or not. Stand in the gap and let us build our nation. When families stand then our nation thrives. Oh God remember mercy and heal us. Heal every broken home and bring restoration of holiness and purity, In Jesus name. (Jeremiah 17:14)- Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise. This song is dedicated to every man and woman hurting in their marriage. By Chris Tomlin. Lord I come, I confess, Bowing here, I find my rest Without you, I fall apart. You’re the one that guides my heart LORD I NEED YOU, OH I NEED YOU, EVERY HOUR I NEED YOU MY DEFENSE, MY RIGHTEOUSNESS, OH GOD HOW I NEED YOU Where sin runs deep, your grace is more Where grace is found, is where you are And where you are, Lord I am free, HOLINESS is CHRIST in me. So, teach my song to rise to you, when temptations comes my way And when I cannot stand, I will fall on you JESUS, you are my HOPE and STAY (Luke 18:27)- Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” The grace is sufficient. Shalom. With love and compassion, Mum #thebibleinspiresme - Rebuilding the Broken Walls in our Homes.
