...service from the heart INTERFAITH HOUSING COALITION/IHC happens to be DJFs newest service project. The volunteer opportunities are many however you first need to attend orientation. Those volunteer opportunities for DJF include: 1. Budget mentoring (a Tues and Thur commitment for the duration of the residents stay) This is a 6 - 12 month commitment. 2. Job Search mentoring is very flexible be it once a week or once a month and usually between 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Professional Actives can come on their lunch break. Your contact will be DJF member Sue Sereboff. Her contact information is available in the last DJF Newsletter. 3. Tutoring of children and teens is being coordinated by Eileen Eliason. Eileen is a DJF Member and her contact information is listed in the latest DJF Newsletter. Note: DJF set up our first apartment for a single mother and her son (4 years of age) We cleaned the apartment, stocked the pantry, decorated and made the beds (new bedding and mattresses) We outfitted the bathroom with everything from towels to toiletries and stocked the toy shelves. It was a wonderful experience.
