#stlwx #mowx #ilwx #stl The heavier and steadier rain has now been swept away to the east as the lead and strongest low pressure system of the weekend slides up through southern IL. Clouds will remain thick today and patchy drizzle will continue... but the heavier rains have now moved on. There is a trailing weather system still lurking in the central plains which will swing to the northeast tonight into early Sunday. This will usher in sharply colder temperatures for tomorrow and bring a chance for some light rain showers tonight that will change to wind blown snow showers and flurries Sunday. No accumulation is expected. The warmest part of the day Sunday will be at midnight with temperatures trending rapidly down to near 30° by sunrise. However, by 3pm, temperatures will have fallen to near 20° on their way to overnight lows Sunday night into Monday morning between 10°-14°.
