#tbt - In 2011, The Myonics drove down to LA to play a couple shows over an August weekend. We caravand my old Volvo and my roommates Subaru station wagon to get down there. At the foot of the Grapevine, the Volvos radiator cracked and we were forced to stay the night in the very strange plaza of hotels and gas stations that sits there. I still remember the dinner at Don Pericos, a really terrible Mexican sit-down place with all of us staring at our food with not very much to say. These things happen in a band...the extraordinarily awful, and great. The next day and $700 later we made our second LA gig, which was a really pretty good one, but Tom, Eric, Billy, Brian, Nat and I will always have the Ramada Inn near the Grapevine.
