#tbt My first outdoor track meet at as a UCLA Bruin. Crazy story behind this hurdle race. I was signed up to do about 5 or 6 events this day and I was throwing javelin and right after my 2nd throw of 191 feet I heard my heat number for hurdles so I grabbed my hurdle spikes and sprinted over to the start blocks. I sat down and started to change my spikes and the official called the runners to their marks. I had no warm ups, no run throughs, NOTHING! Oh well! I hoped in the blocks and just went for it. It was a pretty sloppy race but still took the W! Moral of the story...
