#teamKAKAAKI newsflash: UNILAG LOSES DEPUTY REGISTRAR (ADMISSION), MORENIKE FOLUSO ADARE The Deputy Registrar and Head, Admissions Unit of the University of Lagos, Mrs. Morenike Foluso Adare is dead. She died on Thursday, August 14, 2014. Born on March 1, 1965 in Ido-Ekiti, Mrs. Adare hailed from Akoko South-East Local Government area of Ondo State. She attended St. Louis Girl’s Grammar School, Ikere-Ekiti where she obtained the West African School Certificate (WASC) in June, 1981. For her post-secondary education, she proceeded to the University of Ilorin and University of Lagos where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons), Yoruba Language (Second Class, Upper Class Division) in June, 1986 and Master in Public Administration (MPA) in 1998, respectively. She worked as Administrative Officer II at the Ondo State College of Education (now Ekiti State College of Education), Ikere-Ekiti from March, 1988 to October, 1990. She moved to the Ondo State University (now University of Ado-Ekiti) as Administrative Officer I from September, 1991 to February, 1994. She accepted the offer of appointment as Administrative Officer I at the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos in November 1995. Mrs. Adare became the Admission Officer of Yaba College of Technology in June 1997, a position she held until she joined the services of the University of Lagos as a Senior Assistant Registrar (Academic) at the Distance Learning Institute on January 8, 1999. She became Principal Assistant Registrar/Faculty Officer (Science) in November, 2005; Principal Assistant Registrar (Examinations Office) in February, 2006; Principal Assistant Registrar (Records) in June, 2007 and Deputy Registrar (Admissions Unit) in April, 2009. She is survived by her husband and children. Her burial arrangements will be announced later.
