... the important purpose of Veterans Day: A celebration to honor Americas veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. These words, in part, are taken from this website shown below: va.gov/opa/vetsday/vetdayhistory.asp When entering the military, each soldier and officer take an oath that affirms what they already have within them. Civilians do not have an oath, or need an oath, but still feel within themselves what is expressed above. Circumstances does not always make service available to all, whether they want to or not. But we owe at least a gratitude of thanks to those that have served, that have given a part of their lives or even all of their lives for the rest of us. From everything I have, from everything I am, thank you Veterans. You have made my simple, modest, but carefree life possible and even meaningful, just because you have served for me, for my family, for my friends, for all citizens of the free world. We are in a better world because of you, each one of you. Gunalcheesh.
