This is a common problem with children in the Autism Spectrum. At aware.org there is a kit available for parents and 1st responders One of the things I have read is that if you have a wanderer always make your first look around water! Children in the spectrum are very attracted to the movement of water! You may also want to call your local Police Dept and inquire about a program called Ident a kid!
