#ukmconfessions - 20523 KISAH CV/RESUME PELAJAR UKM Assalammualaikum dan salam sejahtera semua. Saya rasa saya dah buat post yang sebelum ni but that was months before or maybe last year, tak ingat. Anyway, Im concern about your CV/resume that you guys have sent to my company. Frankly, Im disappointed with the quality of your CV/resume. Cmon guys, is this the best that you can do? 1. You should know how to differentiate between resume and CV. Resume only consist of one page only, while CV consist of more than one page. CV will be the best option for yguys to submit to your employer-will-be. 2. Resume umpama sinopsis kepada kisah kerjaya anda. While CV adalah cerita penuh kisah kerjaya anda. So now does that make sense why resume do have one page while CV bersepah page nye? 3. Obviously, nowadays most employers accept CV/resume written in English only. Kalau hantar dalam versi Bahasa Melayu mereka masih terima tapi lepas tu krik krik krik lah. I did not make BM inferior compare to English yet this is the true story bro. Tolong lah, jangan main Google Translate. Kalau English tak power macam saya please rujuk member or browse website regarding English grammar, vocab etc. 4. Please convert to PDF. Doesnt matter either you create your CV/resume in word, excel, dwg etc file; please ensure your CV/resume that youll submit in the future is in PDF format. 5. Lets say, kalau nak send to various employers, janganlah dok letak berderet-deret emel employers dalam Send to/Receiver or Carbon Copy (CC) row sebab nampak sangat awak desperado nak cari kerja. If you have lists of employers, please insert those emails in Blind Carbon Copy (BCC) because those receivers wont see other employers (competitors) in the receiver row. 6. I know, anda semua baru sahaja habis belajar, dah tu nak letak experience ape? My opinion, letak pengalaman sewaktu pekerjaan part time dan internship. Sounds lame? No, its not. Employers mostly nak tengok how you describe your work in your CV/resume, either this guy is a know-how-to or just simply a lazy bone even that part time job was a McDs cook. Another added value is insert your final year project (FYP/thesis) in your CV/resume and give a brief overview of your FYP/thesis. 7. Letak lah gambar passport yang smart and berwarna, ini setakat letak gambar masa zaman hingusan and quality warna macam filem P.Ramlee. Daripada update selfie di Instagram, I think its better if you update your passport picture. Remember, 1st impression does matter. (It is not being a hypocrite, it is about how to get a job) 8. Dont be rigid, be creative while creating your CV/resume. Do some research or ask CV/resume from some experienced people so you can see the whole picture before creating your own CV/resume. 9. Apalah guna aktif kolej/fakulti/KEBUD etc tapi tak letak dalam resume. Letak activities during your studies and yes, give each one ofem an overview. 10. Kalau rasa macam CGPA tak berapa power, tak payah letak lagi bagus. Tapi kalau CGPA dewa, adalah suatu sia-sia tidak meletakkannya di dalam CV/resume.
