****very Informative Great video.please listen to it**** https://soundcloud/thehamboom/2010-05-11-with-kagorgin-p11 ******************** The brave Iranian women were wisely involved in running our country for thousands of years. In ancient Persia women enjoyed a level of gender equality unmatched even to this day; Lady emperors ruled over the Sassanian Persian Empire. Many ancient Iranian cities and states were ruled by women and had their army totally under control of female commanders. The significant role of women in Ancient Iran both horrified and fascinated other ancient male dominated societies. Women in Iran were very valuable beings; they often had important positions in the Courthouse, Ministries, Military, State Department, and other official administrations etc. * Our Zoroastrian religion does not discriminate between men and women; with regard to religious roles and responsibilities both men and women are treated equally in our sacred text, the initiation ceremony is performed for both boys and girls and the best man and woman is whom performs the best and the most good deeds; In Zartoshti beliefs of the six Amesha Spentas (Bounteous Immortal) who are the guardians of our great god Ahura Mazda’s earthly creations three are females and three are males leaving it exactly equal in numbers; the Zoroastrians consider both men and women as equally important and capable of protecting the sanctity and divinity of the world, both men and women and become mobeds (Zartoshti priest) and perform rituals and ceremonies. * According to our sacred text on the creation of the primary persons, it is said that both men and women were created from the seed of Gayomart (Kiumars) the primeval person which were remained of him before he was attacked by the Ahreman and evil before passing away. The seeds developed into two persons Mashye and Mashyane who grew from the earth like a plant united together with equal shapes and equal heights and no difference. (in contrary to other creation myths which consider the woman to be only a byproduct of the man, and who was created much later) * The primary men and women were separated from each other, to them god said: You are the ancestry of the world, you are created perfect and with perfect intellect, perfect in devotion to me, perform devotedly the duty of Asha, think good, speak good and do good deeds and do not worship demons. * The creation story which very well is be the root of the future gender equality which is at the base of our moral and ethical religion of Zoroastrianism. Our religion is based on equality, it is based on devotion to the Asha (righteousness and truth) and deeply rooted in goodness... I Salute Ashu Zartosh, the first divine soul of Our Mazdayasni religion who brought us the great message of the great God, Ahura Mazda....
