.....was speaking with a young lady who was going on and on and on about how bad it is to be a First Lady....and how she would NEVER want to be a First Lady (Pastors Wife)....I began to say, Its all in how you look at it....really its not that bad. First you have to have a genuine love for People and a secure relationship with God. You have to focus on the ones who want your help, pray for the ones who dont, and secure yourselves from the ones who want you out of the picture. So often, we focus on the negativity, but lets start focusing on the good. Rather that expressing your disgruntlement with who is not there, lets celebrate the ones who are there. Now, dont get me wrong, you have to be wise to the schemes of the enemy. Yes, there are some individuals who HATE YOUR GUTS and want to hurt you really bad!!! But, as a First Lady your role is not to hate them back. Your role is the love and pray for them....AND GET SECURITY to protect you and your family!!! If you cant afford security, then pray that there is high profile security around you that has the heart of the Good Samaritan --- to protect you, your family, etc. I never in all of my church life would have thought church leaders needed security. But its true, sometimes I sit back with a bewildered look on my face, in awe to fathom the unimaginable attacks from the enemy....yelp it can be pretty brutal. Often, the attacks are not aimed directly at you, in some instances, your biggest attackers seems like your best supporters....but there is a secret forum....that sets up plots, schemes, tricks, etc.....to destroy the church, your family, your career, etc...Remember that evil hates good....but Good will always prevail over Evil....So, pray that God place someone in your corner who would protect the church, your family, your career, etc. This is not just for the First Lady (Pastors Wife), but this is for all ladies in leadership who are trying to do a good deed.....stay encouraged, and Keep Moving Forward!!!!
