(یا:- اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) قَسم ہے چاشت (کی طرح آپ کے چہرۂ انور) کی (جس کی تابانی نے تاریک روحوں کو روشن کر دیا)۔ (یا:- قَسم ہے وقتِ چاشت (کی طرح آپ کے آفتابِ رِسالت کے بلند ہونے) کی (جس کے نور نے گمراہی کے اندھیروں کو اجالے سے بدل دیا)o 1. By the growing morning bright (when the sun gains height and spreads its radiance), Or (O My Esteemed Beloved,) I swear by (your holy face glowing like) the growing morning bright, (the radiant face, whose effulgence has illumined the dark souls,) Or By (the growing sunshine of your Messengership rising like) the morning bright (whose radiance has replaced the darkness of ignorance with the enlightenment of guidance,) 2. اور قَسم ہے رات کی جب وہ چھا جائے۔ (یا:- اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) قَسم ہے سیاہ رات (کی طرح آپ کی زلفِ عنبریں) کی جب وہ (آپ کے رُخ زیبا یا شانوں پر) چھا جائے۔ (یا:-) قَسم ہے رات (کی طرح آپ کے حجاب ذات) کی جب کہ وہ (آپ کے نورِ حقیقت کو کئی پردوں میں) چھپائے ہوئے ہےo 2. And by the night when it covers up, Or (O My Esteemed Beloved,) I swear by (your fragrant tresses spread like) the sprawling murky night (over your effulgent face and shoulders,) Or By (the veil of your essence that is keeping under layered covers your real nucleus of radiance like) the dark night when it envelops, 3. آپ کے رب نے (جب سے آپ کو منتخب فرمایا ہے) آپ کو نہیں چھوڑا اور نہ ہی (جب سے آپ کو محبوب بنایا ہے) ناراض ہوا ہےo 3. (Ever since He has chosen you,) your Lord has not forsaken you. Nor is He displeased (ever since He has taken you as His Beloved). 4. اور بیشک (ہر) بعد کی گھڑی آپ کے لئے پہلے سے بہتر (یعنی باعثِ عظمت و رفعت) ہےo 4. Indeed, every following hour is a better (source of eminence and exaltation) for you than the preceding one. 5. اور آپ کا رب عنقریب آپ کو (اتنا کچھ) عطا فرمائے گا کہ آپ راضی ہو جائیں گےo 5. And soon your Lord shall bestow upon you (so much) that you will be well-pleased. 6. (اے حبیب!) کیا اس نے آپ کو یتیم نہیں پایا پھر اس نے (آپ کو معزّز و مکرّم) ٹھکانا دیا۔ یا- کیا اس نے آپ کو (مہربان) نہیں پایا پھر اس نے (آپ کے ذریعے) یتیموں کو ٹھکانا دیا۔٭o 6. (O Beloved!) Did He not find you an orphan, and then provided you (a dignifying and graceful) abode? Or Did He not find you (compassionate) and provided (in your person) a shelter for orphans? 7. اور اس نے آپ کو اپنی محبت میں خود رفتہ و گم پایا تو اس نے مقصود تک پہنچا دیا۔ یا- اور اس نے آپ کو بھٹکی ہوئی قوم کے درمیان (رہنمائی فرمانے والا) پایا تو اس نے (انہیں آپ کے ذریعے) ہدایت دے دی۔٭o 7. And He found you engrossed and lost in His love and then made you achieve the coveted objective. Or And He found in you (a leader) for a straying people so He provided them guidance (through you). 8. اور اس نے آپ کو (وصالِ حق کا) حاجت مند پایا تو اس نے (اپنی لذت دید سے نواز کر ہمیشہ کے لئے ہر طلب سے) بے نیاز کر دیا۔ یا- اور اس نے آپ کو (جواد و کریم) پایا تو اس نے (آپ کے ذریعے) محتاجوں کو غنی کر دیا۔٭o ٭ ان تینوں تراجم میں یَتِیماً کو فَاٰوٰی کا، ضآلًّا کو فَھَدٰی کا اور عائِلًا کو فَاَغنٰی کا مفعولِ مقدم قرار دیا ہے۔ (ملاحظہ ہو: التفسیر الکبیر، القرطبی، البحر المحیط، روح البیان، الشفاء اور شرح خفاجی) 8. And He found you seeking (closeness with your Lord), and (then blessed you with the pleasure of His sight and) freed you of every need (forever). Or And He found you compassionate and benevolent, then (through you) made the destitute non-liable. * In translating these three Verses 6, 7 and 8 yatiman is considered the direct object of fa-’awa; dallan is considered the direct object of fa-hada and ‘a’ilan is considered the direct object of fa-aghna. (See: al-Tafsir al-Kabir, al-Qurtubi, al-Bahr al-Muhit, Ruh al-Bayan, al-Shifa and Sharh al-Khafaji.) 9. سو آپ بھی کسی یتیم پر سختی نہ فرمائیںo 9. So, never should you be strict with any orphan, 10. اور (اپنے در کے) کسی منگتے کو نہ جھڑکیںo 10. Nor reproach any beggar (seeking help at your door), 11. اور اپنے رب کی نعمتوں کا (خوب) تذکرہ کریںo
