☆ ╚►★ ▲► °˚◦ღ ● => Detail of carved figures on the east wall of the tomb chapel of Irukaptah at Saqqara. V Dynasty. All nine figures carved on the east wall of this corridor-like rock-cut tomb chapel represent Irukaptah, as the inscriptions on the vertical columns of text inform us. He was Libationer and Butcher of the Palace, Butcher of the Kings meal, and wab-priest of the King. Painted scenes above these figures show scenes of slaughtering of animals and presenting of offerings to the tomb owner. This tomb is known as the Butchers Tomb.
