“画以简贵,如尚简之人微, 则洗尽尘滓,独存孤迥,烟鬌翠黛,敛容而退矣” - 恽寿平 ”Painters sweep away the traces of mortal dust, leaving only a desolate and austere loneliness. -- Yun Shouping (1633 – 1690), a great artist from Qing Dynasty in China, founder of the Chanzhou school of painting. His life as a buddhist monk at Lingyin temple 靈隱寺 in Hangzhou left a great influence on his art. Here sharing four beautiful paintings by Yun Shouping.
