[영어유머] Two guys are hunting. George has never gone hunting while Joe has hunted all his life. When they get to the woods, Joe tells George to sit by a tree and never make a sound while Joe checks out the place. After he walks about twenty minutes, Joe hears a blood-curdling scream. He rushes back to George and yells, “I thought I told you to be quiet!” George says, “Hey, I tried. I really did. When a snake crawled over me, and when the bear was breathing down my neck, I didn’t make a sound. But when those two chipmunks crawled up my pants leg and said, ‘Should we take them with us or eat here?’ I couldn’t keep quiet any more!” 두 친구가 사냥하러 갔다. 조는 내내 사냥을 해왔지만 조지는 사냥을 해본 적이 없었다. 숲속으로 들어가자 조는 조지더러 나무 옆에 가만 앉아 있으라면서 절대로 소리를 내서는 안 된다고 했다. 그러고는 그일대를 살피러 나섰다. 그런데 한 20분 지나자 소름 끼치는 비명이 들려왔다. 황급히 달려온 조는 “조용히 하랬잖아!”라고 소리를 질렀다. “그러려고 했어. 정말 애썼다고. 뱀이 기어올라오고 곰의 입김이 내 목에 와닿는데 아무 소리도 내지 않았단 말이야. 그런데 다람쥐 두 마리가 바지 가랑이로 기어오르더니 뭐랬는지 알아. ‘이거 가지고 갈까 아니면 여기서 먹어치울까’라고 하는 거야.도저히 가만 있을 수 없었지 뭐야.”
