➡️ A 15-MEMBER business delegation from Bahrain is set to take part in a major conference that brings together thousands of non-resident Indians from around the world. The Bahrain India Society (BIS) delegation will be taking part in the 13th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas from January 7 to 9 at Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The annual gathering coincides with the 100th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhis return to India from South Africa in 1915. BIS chairman Mohammed Dadabhai said the delegation would take the message of business-friendly Bahrain to Indian investors and also explore investment opportunities in India for Bahrain-based businessmen. The members of the delegation are also expected to attend the Vibrant Gujarat 2015 business meeting, which is a showcase for the rapidly developing state of Gujarat. Mr Dadabhai added that the support of the Confederation of Indian Industry, which has opened a regional office in Bahrain for GCC and MENA relations, would play a big role in the success of efforts to explore new projects and ties between the two countries. A special session on employment in Gulf countries will take place on January 9. On the same day Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the annual event of the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, while President Pranab Mukherjee will deliver an address.
