014 CHRISTMAS PROJECT FOR BOYS AT ECKERDS WHEN: DECEMBER 18, 2014 WHERE: ECKERDS YOUTH ALTERNATIVES, 397 Culbreath Rd, Brooksville, FL, 34602 TIME: 11AM - 3PM CHAIRMEN: Charles and Diane Fudge, 352-382-2120, 16 Lemington Ct, Homosassa, FL 34446 HOW YOU CAN HELP: We are currently accepting donations towards Christmas presents and yummy treats (cookies, candy, hot chocolate) for the boys at Eckerds. If you wish to donate to this project, you may purchase one (or more) of the items listed below, and mail them to the Chairmen at the address above; OR you can make a donation (preferably check, money order, Mastercard or Visa gift card) made out to: Charles Fudge, Christmas Project Chair, with a notation in the Memo field: Eckerds Christmas Project). NUMBER OF BOYS SERVED: Between 60 and 65 LIST OF ITEMS NEEDED (Need a total of 65 of each item): Fleece Blankets (throws) - already donated Pillows (#1 request on the boys wish lists!) White Sports Socks Art Supplies (no pencil sharpeners because they contain razors) Mens deodorant Candy (You may be able to find Halloween Candy half price now) Candy Canes Candy Bars Cookies Board Games (No cards, No dice - Need 6 of each, since the boys are divided into 6 cabins) Stocking Stuffers (appropriate for boys ages 13-17) Greeting Cards (from the WHBz to each boy) Greeting Cards & Stamps (for the boys to send a loved one or friend) Sports Equipment (We give these annually, but after a year of daily use, they usually need to be replaced): Soccer Balls Basketballs Volley Balls Playground Balls Footballs Woolen Hats - Already Donated Watches ... IF YOU WISH TO ATTEND THIS CELEBRATION, PLEASE CONTACT THE CHAIRPEOPLE, CHARLES OR DIANE FUDGE (352-382-2120) SINCE WE NEED TO GET PERMISSION FOR EACH GUEST WE BRING ON CAMPUS (You may be subject to a background check in order to visit with the boys). IF YOU WISH TO BE A SPEAKER AT THE PARTY, PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR NAME TO THE CHAIRMEN AS WELL. Speakers time will be limited to 4 - 7 minutes each, in order to accommodate as many White House Boys as possible, and keep the celebration within the time constraints. As always, we wish to thank the Management at Eckerds for allowing us to serve these young men in this way. We have been blessed each year by seeing the joy on the boys faces and hearing how much we affect their lives!
