02 Feb DON’T YIELD YOUR BODY TO THE DEVIL Categories: Daily Devotional “Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God” Romans 6:13 The other day Peter caught a revelation of who Jesus is when he said to Jesus you are the Christ, the son of the living God. Jesus was impressed and said to him flesh and blood has not revealed this to you but my father who is in heaven. But not long after, Jesus began to tell His disciples what He would experience. How He was going to die, will be buried and there after resurrect. And Peter said to Him; No! That should not happen to you. But Jesus looked at him and said get behind me Satan! Why did He say that? Because it’s a direct quote from the pit of hell. The devil certainly was speaking through Peter. This account shows that it is possible for the devil to speak through anybody, even a child of God, if you allow him. That is why it is important you know the word of God so that you can align yourself properly by speaking with the scriptures. And like Jesus, you can say to the devil get thee behind me Satan! The devil does not have a body. He is always looking for a human body. Romans 6:13 says “Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God” Never surrender your body to be his home. Forbid him from speaking through you because God has forbidden the devil from functioning through your life and has packaged you to be His oracle. All you need to do is rebuke him anywhere you find him. The right and authority has been given to you to rebuke Satan and his cohorts. Therefore I am here to declare to you that everything the devil has packaged against you must give way this month. That sickness and disease must leave your body. Barrenness must leave your life. Poverty, want and lack must leave your life. Disappointment and failure must go. Today I declare you blessed in Jesus name!
