04/07.2014 Today’s Meditation: 1Chronicles 29:10-13 Bible on Wealth – Divine Provisions for Your Prosperity 2 Both riches and honor come from You, And You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great And to give strength to all 1Chr 29:12. As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor-this is the gift of God Ecc 5:19. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the LORD your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame Joel 2:26. Ignorance is one of the major reasons why children of God are in poverty; ignorance of the will of God for their lives, ignorance of the promises of God and ignorance as to how to launch themselves into the realm of the fulfillment of these promises. Ignorance is a disease, a serious one for that matter. In ignorance, many people have believed that poverty is what will facilitate their smooth transit to a glorious heaven. We must understand that the fact that heaven is our goal does not mean that we will be earthly useless, valueless and irrelevant. A life of poverty can never make any positive impact and a man of no impact is a liability to his generation. God has designed every of His children to make meaningful contributions to their world. He made us to have dominion and rule (Gen 1:26,28). To have dominion is to dominate in your domain. Every man must have a domain in which he is to reign. For example, my domain is in the gospel ministry; yours may be in academics or engineering, medicine, education, business, administration, communication and so on. Whatever is it, there is one thing that God made you for; there is a point at which God expects you to make your positive contributions to the betterment of the world. As you do that, your blessings we naturally flow to you. If you are not having dominion as a child of God, definitely you are being dominated upon. And once you are not aware of your right, the devil will steal it from you. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” Joh 10:10. Not all children of God will be in the same domain. We will not all be medical doctors or lawyers; we will not all be engineers or teachers. But in whatever we do, we have the mandate of God to reign and have dominion. That was what God created us for. Although we lost it in Adam, we regained it in Christ Jesus. The word of God is full of wonderful promises for those who are heirs of salvation. Because many believers are strangers to their Bible, they are speculative believers. By speculative believers I mean believers who believe things they hear others say. They do not have personal persuasions based on personal discoveries from the word of God. Rather than saying the Bible says, they will say, my Pastor or Bishop or Prophet says. When a child of God is fully persuaded in God and well established in His word, it will be difficult for the devil to rob him of the blessings of God packaged for him in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Look at these wonderful promises for example: The LORD your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good. For the LORD will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers, if you obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul Deu 30:9-10. “Then He will give the rain for your seed With which you sow the ground, And bread of the increase of the earth; It will be fat and plentiful. In that day your cattle will feed In large pastures” Isa 30:23. “Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation!” Psa 68:19. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” Mat 6:33. There are many more that you must discover in your personal study of the word of God, Beloved, poverty is a choice; it is never the will of God for His children. God is a God of principles; those who are ignorant of His principles will walk outside them and will lose the blessings attached to them. If you are tired of your poverty, be diligent to study the word of God to discover from it the mind of God for your success and how to operate your life in the realm of His blessings. He told Joshua: This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” Jos 1:8. David, speaking from experience said: “Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper” Psa 1:1-3. God also said: Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, For they shall eat the fruit of their doings” Isa 3:10. So, if you are tired of a life of struggling, frustration and penury go back to the word of God to learn His principles. We will study a few of them as we go on in this series; if you are diligent enough to study along! May the Lord deliver you from all your troubles and release unto you the treasures of His grace in Jesus name. May the help of God locate you and may His hands be opened towards you in Jesus name. From today, your supply will never again be cut short and you will be launched into the realm of divine abundance in Jesus name. Have a fruitful day; Shalom!
