The #1 reason why Americans do not dominate is because of the basic fundamentals lacking when it comes to hitting ground strokes; along with an inability to execute at the very highest level, his/her ground strokes, approach shots, and net game. I look at all of the other sports and see how, for example, Ray Allen of the Miami Heat is so technically sound when it comes to shooting that he can execute his 3-point shots all day with precision, even under the most strenuous of circumstances. For Americans to succeed in the future; coaches at the lowest levels must have mastery of teaching the basic fundamentals of tennis, starting with the ground strokes, serve, transition, and net games.
