06/19/14 Tracking Trinity Pines Jensen’s Plumbing was here last week and in a couple days replaced all the air conditioners with the latest models with remote controls. I was very impressed with the young men, their workmanship and pleasant demeanors. Using a local business is an attribute Trinity Pines subscribes to. June is known as the wedding month. We have been asked to turn our wedding photos in so they can be displayed in the dining room. It’s sort of a guessing game because, boy, have we changed. One of the perks of living at the Pines is the guest room. Several people mentioned that this is one of the reasons they decided to move here. I have used it for family and friends quite often. It was almost like having them sleep in my apartment but it meant having them near me. Celebrating dairy month,Jean Stark and I attended the breakfast at the fabulous Hasel farm last Sunday. After a wagon tour, I saw the latest dairy industry innovations in place on this modern spread. They crop approximately 1000 acres and at this time are milking 370 cows 3 times a day. We were able to get a shuttle bus from L.M. high school’s parking lot to and from the farm. I understand that there were approximately 4000 people attending this two day event, probably the largest ever put on by the Watertown Agri-Business Club. This is a family that works and prays together. ; Bits and Pieces: Keeping up with Dairy Month, Ann Lee took several residents to the “Culver’s Custard & Cows” dairy event in Johnson Creek a week ago on Monday...the Mad Hatters, oops, I meant the Red Hatters enjoyed a trip to Edgerton for breakfast at Blue Gilly’s Pancake Pier last Tuesday. I must get over there because they said the food was really good. Their appetite was not as hardy, as it usually is, when sitting down to the roast beef meal served to celebrate June Stamas 90th birthday on that day. They sure are going to some interesting restaurants; the 30th Annual Grossman Horseshoe Tournament was held recently...Loretta G. had a full day of celebrating on her birthday, starting with a family breakfast, family pedicures, birthday meal at the Pines and then finished the day watching her grandson and great-grandson on opposing baseball teams play. That’s what I call a dilemma. The nicest part was having her niece, Paula, from Las Vegas, come here to help her celebrate. After 70 if you don’t wake up aching in every joint, you are probably dead...Money will buy a fine dog but only kindness will make him/her wag their tail...A good time to keep your mouth shut is when you’re in deep water.
