06-26-2013 Daily Devotional - By Brother Sam Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. The name of this ministry “Shlumiyel Ministries” is Hebrew and it translates out to “The Peace of God” and we all believe that a major attribute of our God is that of a God of peace. You can bank on it with all you have that he is that and Much, Much More. But his word tells all of his children not to think that means he has promised us a trouble free nor a snooze filled, life of inactivity all within our comfort zone; the fact is his word tells us just the opposite is true. So how could this be a life of peace you might wonder and I am so glad you asked. Once you were saved you have invited Jesus into your heart. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to seal you as a child of God and to guide and intercede for you to our heavenly Father So you are a New Creation as stated in Corinthians and sanctified to be a vessel containing the Holy Spirit. Gods intent is not to move you out of your comfort zone, through your Trust and Faith in Him he plans to expand that Zone. A wall flower, no matter how pretty, is not going to glorify our God just sitting there; so He wants to work through you in your every day life. And get this if nothing else, when you trust God and seek His will for your life, what ever he brings you to, regardless of how bleak or terrifying it may appear, He will bring you through. Just ask Moses with thousands of chariots at his heels with murderous intent and a sea of water in front of him. You see that is where the peace lies, The peace of God lies in the peace in trusting in God, Because he is not only able, he is completely trust worthy. Isaiah 40:28-30 (KJV) 28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: The Soviet cosmonaut Titov stated possibly because of coercion from leaders in the Soviet Communist Party to which he was the newest of its hero’s, that during his flight in space he saw "no sign of God." That statement signifies the basic spiritual problem of man today. In our ever changing and tumultuous world of crisis and terror and the insecurity an mistrust towards the established governments today’s man sees "no sign of God". Some doubt His existence, others are convinced that God is either dead or he is uninterested and un-involved in the human struggle. Satan has done a good job at stroking the vanity and ego’s of people who hold these positions. God’s message through Isaiah is relevant today just as it was then to the Hebrews of Jerusalem.
