07-02-2013 Daily Devotional - By Brother Sam Luke 4:11-12 (KJV) 11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. You don’t have to be Godless to tempt the Lord with your words, actions, or deeds. Even unwittingly will a Christian sometimes sin in this way. Oh it might not be a big thing like Lord let me hit the big Lottery that way I can give and so some good works for you with the money. It may just be small things that we bargain with our minds to justify our desires, or maybe we are looking to take some of the glory do to our own vanity. What might cause me to lust or desire something outside the Will of God for me may not bother you whatsoever and I will guarantee you this that Satan knows just where to hit us both. Praise God that we have an advocate in Christ Jesus, as he was in all ways tempted and sinned not. We as Christians can go to him in times that we are under attach by the enemy and he will help us. I don’t ask it for vain reasons but that if the Lord speaks to the heart of someone reading my devotional posting I want them to be able to contact me that I may be able to walk them through accepting the Grace and Mercy of God through the Redeeming Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. That they may too be born again and saved and more than that try and direct them into finding the right house of God and fellowship to be nurtured and grow in their faith in. I publish this page daily to declare Gods love towards us all in Christ Jesus who is my Hope and my Joy, and I publish in the hopes that someone somewhere will through these rough and course words of mine may see Jesus and want him in their life as I do more than life itself. Lord please use my simple words to reach the hearts that you will and in your will all things are possible. Thank you for your forgiveness and mercy towards me and your redeeming Love through your shed blood on the Cross of Calvary. Blessed be your name Lord and please bless all who seek you with your presents and Holy Spirit that they may come to know you more and more in each passing day. Amen and Amen.
