08/20/13 Truck 2, Engine 10, Rescue 11, Car 99 and Battalion 1 responded to the Genesee River gorge below the Maplewood Rose Garden for 2 people reportedly stuck in the gorge with one having an ankle injury. Engine 2 and Truck 6 responded with Special Ops 2 and The Protectives responded to assist with lighting. The pair was located and lowered to the boat utilizing a high angle rope rescue set up. The incident was under control in about 3 hours.
