08-30-2014 Just my thoughts for today. As I am sitting and reflecting this morning my thoughts were on how all people just want and need love, just want to be accepted; the world is starving for love, and as Christians, if we could just accept each other, and ourselves, for what we are, we could love each other regardless and make the world a better place. If only we would try not to change each other, not talk about each other, and not shun anyone, what a difference we could make. It is our duty as a Christian to love everybody, showing others Christ through love. So many Christians and Churches dwell on the” in group” and activities when we should be praying and thinking about others, their salvation, and eternity. Where would we be if God had not loved us enough to allow us to find him and change through that love, not try to change us before showing us his love? Where would we be if God had talked about us and did not do anything to show us that he loved us? Where would we be if God had shunned us because we were born sinners? God loved us so much that he sent his one and only Son, Jesus, so that everybody could be saved and have eternal life. Show your neighbor that you love them, show your co-worker that you love them, share your life with others and do not shun them, just accept them and love them through Christ. I know that I have failed at accepting others, talked about others, and turned away from others because they were different, this is not a Christ like life. We are all human and fail through imperfections, but with, and through Christ all things are possible and we should strive each day to make the world a little brighter, a little happier, and a more loving and accepting environment. Lift up each other and invite others into your world and to Christ. The greatest of all commandments is to love one another, pray for me today that I might show God’s love through my life, actions, and Christ! My God is an awesome God, and through Christ I can make a difference, it starts with me!
