Details: Early Warning Network: ewn.au WA Bushfire Watch & Act: Victoria Highway 3km East of Kununurra Tuesday 12 August 2014 - 8:13 AM ?A bushfire WATCH AND ACT has been issued for people near Victoria Highway three kilometres east of Kununurra in the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley. - There is a possible threat to lives and homes as a fire is approaching the area and conditions are changing. - You need to leave - act immediately, do not wait and see. - The fire started on Victoria Highway. It is burning towards Bullrun Road, Drovers Road east of Kununurra and the AusFuels depot. BUSHFIRE BEHAVIOUR: - The bushfire is moving fast in a westerly direction. - It is out of control and unpredictable. WHAT TO DO: - If you are not prepared or you plan to leave, leave now if the way is clear. - If you are not at home, do not try to return as conditions in the area could be very dangerous. SAFER PLACE: - Your safest option may be to visit family or friends who live away from the area. SAFEST ROUTE: - Follow the directions of firefighters.
