09-10-2013 Study of Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians: (as I wrote afore in few words, Eph 3:4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Eph 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; Eph 3:6 That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: Eph 3:7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. Eph 3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; Eph 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: Commentary: Yes! We are called to dig. Dig into the word. Dig deep into the word. Paul, formerly Saul, after being converted through his encounter with God, had to go back and spend time applying the word he thought he knew (logos word) to the revelation word (rhema word) God gave him! The revelation was a gift God gave Paul, who acknowledges his unworthiness to God’s grace to let him bring this powerful revelation to the world! Paul’s humbleness to this gift is one of the reasons he applied himself to “the dig”. Paul needed to apply discernment and understanding to this revelation and he knew that only came through time in the word of God. Paul got a glimps of the treasure and was willing to do the work to bring it fully to light. Are you willing to do the work? I wonder how many times God has dropped a Rhema word in my spirit and I just kept it for myself, not digging and not sharing. I will give just a quick “Thank you Lord for my word”. Father forgive me and teach me a better way, Your way! The word of God is alive and it is meant to be shared! I encourage you to pay attention to what God is saying to you in your spirit and apply the humbleness of Paul in realizing that this revelation needs to be studied out and have the Logos word applied to it. Then hold firm to it for a time God has already prepared for you to share God’s living, breathing, loving word into another person’s life! Blessings!
