09/22-24/2013 Posted on September 23, 2013 09/22/2013 What a day, God’s blessing, strength, and anointing was evident throughout the day. We got up and had breakfast, a much bigger breakfast than I normally eat on Sunday morning and left for the church. The church is meeting in a new mall and the room is quite large. When we arrived we went into a small office and they had tea and more food for us, which neither of us could eat we were to full from breakfast. Then we went into the church meeting. The praise service was really great. But while we were singing all the power in the whole mall went out. People had some flashlights so they began to use them but we had no power for the instruments etc. There was a visiting world class musician there and he played the harp. So they introduced him and he began to play “I Worship You” and as he did the lights all came back on. He ministered in music for about 20 minutes and then they introduced me. Pastor Andreas asked me to give my testimony about God bringing us through the tornado and then pray for those who were struggling. It was very difficult to tell all the details and give them the whole story but God gave me grace and strength. It was the first time I ever told the whole story at one time. I have given pieces of it at times but not the whole account. Then we went to the office again and got ready for the next service which I was to tell them the same story. It was a little easier the second time, but still difficult. I had a very good interpreter. She told me that she used to interpret for Brother Bill when he came to Indonesia. She considered him her spiritual father because of what he taught her. After the second service we went to lunch and had a really nice meal then to the apartment of Anto and Priscilla who lived there next to the mall. As I laid down to rest the Lord began speaking to me about them and several others. We had short power nap, power in the sense of the presence of the power of God. Then we went into the last service of the day. We sang two songs and then the visiting minister again ministered in music for about 20 minutes. Then I began to prophesy over the people as a whole and over individuals. The service lasted two and a half hours and was very powerful. I was totally exhausted when it was over and they wanted to take us to another meal, which we did. It was a Japanese style dinner and was very good. However, the longer I sat there the more tired I began. As soon as we could, Mira took us back to her house so we could start packing and go to bed. It was a very long day in some ways, but a very powerful day in many ways. I thank God for the time here and the effectiveness of the ministry. I believe God has done some eternal things. One of the blessings was to see Pastor Andreas’ brother and sister in law. When I was here in 1989 I prayed for them to have a child. They gave me testimony of how God gave them two sons and how the timing of the birth of those sons brought about a great blessing. It is always an awesome thing to hear the testimonies of the things that God does when we obey Him. Especially when all we do is speak what we feel God is saying and then have no control of the results. We just have to trust God and leave it all in His hands. Then He accomplishes what He said, we rejoice in the victory and in the reality that God did actually use us as human beings. What a wonder! 09/24/2013 Yesterday we left for Manila. We went to the airport early in the morning, not as early as I wanted to, but still in time. When we got there we found out they changed our schedule again and they were already boarding the plane. We had expected to have another hour and a half with Pastor Andreas, his wife Marianik, and Lista. Instead we had to go say a quick goodbye and hurry to the gate, walking right onto the boarding ramp and into the plane. The flight to Jakarta was good. When we arrived we had to go to the baggage area, get our bags, then return to the ticketing area for Philippine Air and check in again. After going through immigration and customs we entered into our gate area and walked around for a while. Out flight to Manila was with a little turbulence. When we arrived in Manila we went through immigration, got our bags and went through customs then went outside to wait for Pastor Lee. They found us at the exit gate and went to get the car. We put what bags we could into the trunk and the five of us into a five passenger Toyota. Pastor Lee and I had to hold one bag apiece for the trip to his house where we are staying. When we arrived at his home some of the leaders and people of the church met us there for dinner. After dinner, Nancy and I were so tired we excused ourselves, went upstairs, unpacked a few things and went to bed. We had been awake since 4:00 a.m. and it was a long day.
