0930 briefing for Rookies Robin, Rob, Hammy and Alumni sailor Alan Roberts. It was breeze on in Lorient yesterday, with Robin reporting flying waves hitting as high as the top spreaders. In their briefing with coach Tanguy Leglatin this morning, the sailors give the forecast for the day and then give their coach their rig settings. Expecting much the same conditions today as yesterday, anything between 18 knots and 30 knot squalls, the sailors will warm up with a series of upwind exercises, before focusing on gybing for the majority of the four hour session. It is icy cold down on the docks and Rob has forgotten his socks and Robin is wearing shorts... Brits abroad.
