1- Why is Harry being built up into such a protege with amazing abilities when he was so much more relatable in the books being great at one thing and crap at another? In the canon Harry never knew magic before he went to Hogwarts. So yes, he was a lot more relatable however, even though he’s more advanced magically in Fragmented Soul because of his upbringing, I wouldn’t say he’s a protege. Severus has tutored him to be proficient in magical subjects he knew that Harry would need and, as with most students, the one on one lessons enabled him to learn at a much for rapid pace. There are still some that he is better at than others. Severus was an accomplished wizard who had a great deal of love for both Lily and Harry. He would have wanted Harry to be able to look after himself. Remember that Severus worked for both Dumbledore and Voldemort in the first war and therefore he knew everything that Harry would need to take care of himself. He drilled it into Harry so he wouldn’t ever have to face losing his son. But Harry is hardly perfect; he is extremely argumentative and has a tendency to believe he is always right, he has very limited knowledge of Care of Magical Creatures and is truly terrible at Divination.
