Yesterday, I overestimated how quickly this video would click by a million views ... overestimated but only by 12 hours ... but its over 1,000,000 now and people are still clicking away. They re-filmed this man singing this song at this street piano yesterday evening, with lights and tripods and proper sound and a new management group. They will process that professionally and release it. All the best to Michael ... and heavens speed to Katriona with the worldwide recognition of her artistic talent. Not wanting to sound negative, I must state that --in my humble opinion-- part of the charm that sent this thing over a million views is that it was spontaneous, it happened in a moment of serendipity, it was bona fide, it was not set up, it was not managed, it seemed amateurish because it was done by amateurs, it had wonky sound because it was captured on the main street of the Town without filters, without pre-planning, without extra equipment, etc and it was just a genuine moment of real-life joy between a piano player who is a soulful singer and a visual artist delighted to see the beautiful object she created being used in a natural, positive way. If those elements are erased, will a million folks be drawn to view it, to share it, to blog about it, to link to it, to report it on the news, to love it?
