Speaking at the launch of the identify card scheme at the Paynesville Community School Sunday, Kaffey said they are part of a total of 7,000 members nationwide who are expected to receive ID cards. Kaffey said the forum will help the Liberia National Police fight crime by making their presence felt where the police cannot be. Speaking at the program, the Deputy Police Director for Operations, Col Abraham Kromah, challenged members of the CWFL to be vigilant in preventing crime in their communities. Kromah said the community watch team serves as liaison between the Liberia National Police (LNP) and communities in battling crime and criminals. He indicated that members of the watch team were vetted before given ID cards so that they can be identified in their communities by police patrol teams at night. LINA
