1. All ready to hit the streets!! 2. Its called Simit, street delicacy; pretzels with sesames seeds! Acquired taste! 3. Bosphorus. 4. Huge vessels as neighbors and fishing enthusiasts (the entire Galata bridge is dotted with people fishing) 5. And sometimes we get lucky. 6. Because reflection in the tram is mainstream :) 7. When good old buildings form a beautiful backdrop to new age travelers cafés! Eclectic!! 8. Identity crisis, preserving old, bearing new! 9. Water chestnuts. Grilled!! 10. Turkish tea on the go! 11. Walk, walk and walk some more. Some sit too! 12. Graffiti 13. Taanke jhaanke. The famous galata towers- peek a boo! 14. Before the climb! Galata towers. 15. Galata towers. View! 16. Of red, orange, yellow houses! 17. When vessels and houses merge! 18. Houses in hills. 19. Of connecting bridges, mosques and rush hour traffic! 20. Galata towers. View! 21. They decided to have the drawing room...err on terrace! 22. The first Istanbul sun set. GorFrrigingGeous! 23. My awkward smile :) 24. Water bus! 25. Ominous tower! Rapunzel reminder! 26. Cats are all over in the city. (Maybe because everyone is fishing every where) I observed they are not only well petted but well matted as well. Locals feed them and even keep special mats and cushions for them outside houses. Mind you these are stray cats! Day 1. Over so beautifully!! Walked close to 6 hours!! :)
