1 Cor. 15:20-23, 35-44. Every human being is the physical and spiritual descendant of the first man, Adam. Not only have we inherited his physical likeness, but also his tendency toward rebellion. Even though each person inherited this sinful nature from Adam, that person is still responsible for his or her sin, The soul who sins...will die (Ezek. 18:20). In Christ, however, all who are identified with Him by faith will be raised from the dead and made alive. Since Jesus lived a sinless life and died for their sins, those in Christ will no longer have Adams curse upon them. Jesus was the first to rise from the dead, never to die again. In the same manner, and with the same power, God will raise those who trust in His Son to save them.
