1 Corinthians 13:2 “If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.“ (NIV) It was originally intended to have our thoughts on Noah this week. However I felt the leading of the Spirit to deafer our thoughts on Noah until a later date in order to address something the Lord placed in my heart this week. I was listening to the Nolan Show on the BBC on Wednesday evening and heard an interesting comment from a man that Nolan was interviewing. The gentleman was speaking in a different context, but I immediately saw how his statement can encourage our witness for Jesus in this world. The gentleman posed the question “how can you love what I know unless you first know that I love?” Think over this statement for a few seconds my Christian friend. Is it not true that when we tell people about Christ’s love, we cannot fathom how unsaved people continue to reject His love? It is easy to answer this question. To tell of Christ’s love, we must first show Christ’s love to others. Actions speak louder than words. But in the case of our Christian witness, love leads to actions, actions lead to words, words lead to knowledge, knowledge leads to understanding, understanding leads to faith and faith leads to love of Christ. As you go from day to day, simply remember that demonstrating the love of Christ is the only way to begin the cycle that leads to Salvation for others.
