1 Corinthians 14:29 And let the prophets speak by two or - TopicsExpress

1 Corinthians 14:29 And let the prophets speak by two or three, and let the others discern Paul instructs, that it is permissible and beneficial that the Church should allow for 2 or 3 prophets to speak. In this verse, he adds that the other (prophets) should discern. The KJV says and let the others judge. By choice of the term others we know that he was referring to more than one. This means by basic standard, and to be in New Testament compliance with Church life, to be healthy or legitimate a Church should have a minimum of 5 prophets!! This is an extremely overlooked truth and contemporary crisis. Most Churches in America are severely understaffed and not prepared to handle the spiritual events, seasons, processes or happenings headed its way while its building. We are backwards in our priorities. We believe that the Church should have; A Senior Pastor, An Youth Pastor, A Childrens Pastor, An Executive Pastor, and an Associate Pastor (s). Then, we need Musicians (saved or not) Deacons, Licensed/Ordained Ministers, Maybe a few evangelists, a couple of sunday school teachers and some trustees!! We even have the nerve to have a Mothers board and yet.......No prophets. There are a few cases, where there may be prophets in a house, but they have to sneak and prophesy in prayer meetings, at water fountains and on sheets of paper because there is no outlet for their ministry. There should NEVER be a Church, without prophets. Without them, a Church is not equipped or prepared to perceive the doings of God, Flesh, or Demons in their midst and all of their efforts will be crippled because its built on only 2 of the 5 Ephesians 4 staff!! If this describes your Church, you are understaffed. I urge you as Paul did the Church at Corinth....LET THE PROPHETS SPEAK!!!!!!!!!!!! If you dont know who they are, or where they are in your Church, bring in another Highly skilled Prophet to help you identify them and then plan to train them to make them useful to your Church.
