1. Depot Manager Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Depot Manager will be responsible for overall depot operations, administration, supervision and control of all activities at the depot. In particular, he/she will be responsible for all Storage and Handling operations and fuel delivery at the depot. This role is to ensure that the depot is managed efficiently and safely, Be managing a team of depot operators, Bulk Vehicle Operators and Assistant Depot Manager, Be accountable for all HSSE on the depot operation in accordance with the Puma HSSE Policy, operations procedures and Legislated and Engineering standards, Manage the performance of all Engineering Contractors, security contractors and control of all matter pertaining to depot security and maintenance, Provide Leadership by setting high personal standards, leading by example, ensuring follow through and demonstrating commitment to building a motivated workforce at the depot, Be responsible for training and coaching of staff to develop a highly skilled and dedicated team – getting it right first time, every time Must have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or in any related Sciences, must possess a thorough knowledge of Depot Operations and transportation, Must have thorough knowledge of applicable local laws, standards and regulations in Petroleum industry, Must be familiar with latest operating systems, i.e. Navision System, must have the ability to prioritise and schedule work, meet multiple deadlines, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, must be detail-oriented, and be able to work under pressure and odd hours, Must be a self starter 2. Vehicle Fleet Coordinator Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Vehicle Fleet Coordinator will be responsible for controlling the maintenance of bulk delivery vehicles, vehicle maintenance administration, and quality of services delivered by vehicle maintenance contractors. The position will also perform regular inspections and internal audits to ensure compliance with all Puma Energy standards. Be accountable for all tyre supply and maintenance contracts, Wil be liaising with Business Support Manager, Depot Managers and Health Security and Environment (HSE) Manager to ensure that effective first line maintenance and defect reporting takes place, Will be accountable of vehicle maintenance budget control and performance reporting, Will be liaising with maintenance contractors to ensure that standards are maintained and costs are controlled, Be accountable for selection and on-going auditing of maintenance contractors, Be responsible for implementation of Puma Energy Maintenance policies and procedures, Be responsible for training of Depot Managers and Bulk Vehicle Operators (BVO) in vehicle inspection, defect reporting, correct operation of equipment and documentation requirements, Will be accountable for incident and accident investigations involving road tankers, Will be responsible for periodic internal audits to establish adherence to standards and procedures Must have minimum of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with bias in Motor Vehicle and an Advanced qualification in Transport Logistics, Must have at least 5-10 yrs experience in the Bulk Vehicle Maintenance, 3 o which must be at a supervisory position, Must have good Negotiation and Conflict Resolution Skills, Must have excellent communication skills (both oral and written), Must have hands-on experience in conducting vehicle inspections and safety audits in a dangerous goods road transportation environment, Must have extensive knowledge of petroleum road tankers and the equipment used, Must have Heavy Goods Vehicle driver’s licence, Must be trustworthy, honest, disciplined and no criminal record All interested persons who meet the above requirements should send their applications together with their detailed CV not later than 28th November to: The Human Resources Manager, PUMA Energy Malawi Limited, P O Box 469, Blantyre Only shortlisted applicants will be acknowledged, Envelopes should be clearly marked “Application for the Post of “Depot Manager” or Vehicle Fleet Coordinator” whichever is application, PUMA Energy Malawi is an equal opportunity employer
