1. Ebola is not now nor can it ever become airborne. There is a long list of reasons why but the most important and powerful reason why is alligators. They have remained the same for 100 million years. Why? Because they are the perfect predator, there is no reason for them to change. The same thing goes for Ebola. It is a perfect infectious agent, it has no reason to change. Changes in nature are only instigated by an external pressure, Ebola has no external pressure to change. The reason so many people are saying it is airborne is because of lack of knowledge of the difference between airborne and non-airborne close contact transfer. To be airborne would actually weaken Ebola, it would lose its ability to hide from our immune system. Ebola can be transferred by someone coughing or sneezing only after they have vomited, the vomit puts the virus in the mouth which can then be expelled via coughing and sneezing. This is why vomit and fever symptoms are so important. And yes, much later in the progression of the disease the virus can exit via salivary glands, but it is already there from the vomit in the mouth. 2. The Ohio neighborhood is off limits because no where does it say the virus dies rapidly outside the body, it can live for weeks outside a body, which is why they are trying to cremate every body in Africa. The issue is belief systems, over there, people dont allow their bodies to be cremated and since the workers they use are locals, these locals are willing to give back bodies of loved ones, allowing the disease to spread. 3. Closing the borders to those countries wont keep people from bringing it here. If closing the borders kept people from making it to the U.S., then there would be no issues with the U.S./Mexican border. People that want to break the law, wont listen to a border closing either. I want in and I am from Liberia, I simply purchase a two way ticket from Liberia to any other country without a border closing and fly there. Instead of coming back, I buy a new ticket from this new country into the U.S. If we close every flight from every country until this outbreak is over, then every single American loses their jobs and we have an economic depression that will never be recoverable. Finally, closing all flights prevents everyone from getting where they need to go, including cancer patients for their treatments, family for holidays and funerals, etc etc. The list is unending, and still wont stop Ebola because people with it intent on spreading it are criminals and criminals dont follow the law. As a disease, Ebola will not listen to a border closure anyway. Think about it like the gun laws His Majesty Obama and those others are trying to enact. Banning guns arms criminals....
